Real Life Superhero: Martin Luther King Jr.

Marin Luther King Jr. was one of the most respected and influential men in America’s history. Not only was a phenomenal, intelligent, self confident, and determined leader, nothing less of what a hero should be. Martin Luther King Jr. was the leader of the Afro-American Civil Rights Movement. He organized non-violent protests for the freedom, equality, and peace between blacks and whites based on his Christian beliefs. King was a public figure who gave his life for the noble cause and fought for civil rights to be a reality, even until his last breath. He inspired millions and set a precedent for modern America. King was responsible for the passing of the Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act for African Americans, both in the 1960s. His actions granted him world wide respect among many political leaders which gave him the power to bring major change into the world. He is well known for giving speeches such as “I Have a Dream.” Martin Luther King Jr is an inspiration because he inspires me to have hope, faith and victory in the midst of the storm.

A#2 Awareness WeaRebel project Brainstorm

Upon reading and discussing about this project, a lot of ideas came to mind about what the main focus could be. During Thursday’s class, we asked good questions about the superhero in regards to who, what, when, and where. Although several questions were made, they were not specific enough to begin brainstorming with our groups. A specific group that I would love to target in this project about would be children in my community. I want to help the children in my community, but still don’t know how I would help them or in what way. When my group and I discuss about our potential group project topic, I would love to hear suggestions about how I can make wearable technology for a community superhero that helps and promotes the children or in their social environment to achieve higher awareness and positive change in their social environment.
